Action Plan for Learning

The school's Action Plan for Learning emphasizes both literacy and numeracy development. In literacy, we are committed to enhancing students' early oral language skills, reading comprehension, and writing abilities. In numeracy, our goal is to cultivate positive attitudes toward mathematics while improving essential skills. We will implement strategies such as differentiated instruction, the use of manipulatives, and adaptive teaching methods to support students in expressing their understanding through various formats.
Desert Sands Community School recognizes and is respectful that it lies on the traditional territories of the Nlaka'pamux and Secwépemc people.
